Someone donated these two beauties to our sewing club!

Hi,

I started a new sewing club that meets monthly in my home. The name of the group is "Life Lessons from the Cutting Room Floor." Our ladies meet monthly and the level of sewing skill varies.

This past week, as I shared that some of the ladies don't actually have machines but would still like to learn, someone offered to bring two machines they had picked up at thrift stores and yard sales but had never used. What a God-moment...a tremendous blessing!!! After a bit of dusting, oil, and a few minor repairs, they should be just what we need for the ladies.  I'm thrilled about this journey!

Help & Advice Please

I forget what this fabric is called but I do know it's very pricey but when Hancock's had it on a clearance table for less than $4 a yard I had to get some, the charcoal is not showing it's true color, blame it on the lights, blame it on the camera I dunno but it's a dark charcoal, after watching this fabric come & go in so many delicious colors through the years, with this price I decided to go for it, but now that I have it, I'm kinda scared of it lol! I'm pretty sure once you cut whatever  sleeves & hems are pretty much taken care of, but what about the waist of a skirt or a neckline, surely you wouldn't  just turn it with all those ripples so can you help me or are you scared too? lol!
